B. Listen to the music examples:

There are eight recorded examples under the heading Chapter Three on the Recordings page of the course website and another five examples of chant interspersed with polyphonic (many voices) music under the heading Chapter Four on the Recordings page of the course website.

The following scale will be used for all grades, including the final grade.

A = 95-100 %

A- = 94%

B+ = 93%

B = 89-92 %

B- = 88%

C + = 87%

C = 79-86%

C- = 78%

D+ = 77%

D = 71-76 %

D- = 70%

F = 69% or lower.
This scale will be used to apply the appropriate number of points earned for each assignment. For example, an assignment worth 10 points that is graded as an A assignment will earn between 9.5 and 10 points.
