It's here!
Catholic Music Through the Ages has been released by Hillenbrand Books.
It was originally commissioned for use as a textbook for seminaries, but its final design will make it useful for anyone who has an interest in the history, formative powers, and liturgical use of the Church's music.
The text is designed to be accompanied by approximately 50 recordings. These recordings will be available on the recordings page of this site, after a fee is paid to receive the password. Most of the recordings can be downloaded. Some can only be streamed, as per licensing agreements. Clink the link to go to the recordings page. You will have the opportunity to view the list of recordings and to purchase the password, or not to purchase it.
Over time, this site will also offer teaching aids and updates to accompany the text.
This will be a book like none other on the Church's music. Watch this site for the official release, and put it on your "must buy" list today.
